Wellbeing matters. Happy employees are healthier and spend less time off work due to sickness with a direct and positive impact on financial results.

A proactive approach proven to increase productivity and decrease absence From Work

Organisations typically address wellbeing in two ways:

1

Improving working atmosphere through management practice reviews e.g. considering workload demands, working hours and training and development.

2

Creating a more caring culture through provision of Employee Assistance Programmes or EAPs i.e. employees overwhelmed with mental health and emotional issues associated with workplace and/or personal problems can contact a helpline for counselling and referral services.

EAPs are sometimes criticised for being too reactive. Often, they remain underutilised because their value and impact is not communicated effectively.

Our approach is different

Mind Know-how’s approach is more proactive because we aim to integrate our service into your organisation’s culture and help employees balance work and personal aspects of their life. Our experience is that employees get in touch as problems arise rather than waiting until they reach crisis-point.

And when an employee does make contact, we take additional steps with a joined up holistic approach to therapy that aims to get to the root cause of the problem and overcome it.

COVID Support

The emotional worry about catching Covid-19 together with loneliness and work insecurity has greatly increased stress, anxiety and depression. Employers are under mounting pressure to create an environment and culture that encourages employees to feel confident and safe in reaching out for help.

Employee Assistance Programme

A common criticism of EAPs is they are too reactive.  The challenge therefore is how to engage confidentially with employees as mental health issues become apparent rather than waiting until they get to crisis-point.

Wellbeing in Action

Sennheiser Results

Sennheiser UK & Nordic - the leading manufacturer of audio equipment, started their Employee Wellbeing Support programme with Mind Know-how in May 2019. With some interruptions during 2020 caused by lockdowns, the program’s success enabled it to be re-established to all employees in January 2021.
